I heard rumors about someone getting bitten by a snake while going through the fruits at a grocery store in Sacramento. Supposedly the person died from this. I can’t find any news stories but have heard this from more than one source. Any info????

We heard it again and again that a strong storm may destroy the Sacramento Levees causing a disaster several times more damage than the one in Louisiana. When that happens many Americans will lose their lives, property and our economy will tumble down some more. I heard that it takes 600 billion dollars to fix the problem,we can’t afford that,so we wait.
After all with 600 billion dollars we can fix the levees,or we can finance the war in Iraq for one more year.Which is more important? But don’t worry, I think we have a disaster response plan when the levees fail.
First, our leaders go there and take “photo ops”pictures with the victims to prove that they support them. More important politicians will fly over with helicopters to convince themselves that the disaster really happened. Many “non-profit (!)” groups will form and come to your door to collect donations asking for your last dollar, and get nasty if you don’t give. These “good” people will do all that except stop the disaster.
We have a choice to stop an impending disaster now, if our leaders acts responsibly, collect donations to STOP the disaster before it happens.
If your roof in your home starts leaking, and you know next rainy season it will destroy your furniture, cause mold,
and most importantly will make you family sick; and you only have enough money to fix your roof….will you spend that money to partcipate in “fund raising”events, or fix your roof first, putting your family first?
